watercolor salt painting To make these octopi, the night before we crafted them I drew the shapes out in glue and sprinkled with salt. These was so I was sure they would be completely dry before school the next day. I gave them to the kids with watercolor paint sets and showed them how to get there brush really wet, sip into the color and then tap the salt on the picture and then watch the color spread.
Above are pineapple shaped cut out and we stamped yellow paint onto the shape. The top of the pineapple are cut outs of the kids hands.
This is a hand print crab, with cotton ball clouds and real beach sand glued to the bottom.
