Today I am incredibly frustrated. I believe it only takes one person to create change. Perhaps not right away or overnight, but things do eventually change. I do think they begin to change with the voice of at least one person. If you don't speak up, things just keep going the way they always have. There is no change. There is no growth.
If people didn't speak up, history would be a lot different. It's as if people now have forgotten our past, the history that was because others spoke up, others used their voices and demanded change. I can't understand what people are afraid of? Is it really that important what others think of you? You do realize that you are not alone, and others feel the same way, they just may not be ready to say something. It takes the voice of one person to lead, to make waves.
I had to sit down and write this out. Others are binge-watching shows and working out (More power to them! Go for it!) during their quarantines, and honestly, I've taken this time to start saying something (FINALLY!!). I am writing to policymakers, legislators, Governors, Mayors, etc. I am doing all of the things I told my self I would do if I had just a little more time. I'm advocating, not just planning too. I'm taking a stand. I am sharing my thoughts. I am trying to create change with my words!
You get my point, and I won't keep preaching. Just please know your feelings, ideas, and thoughts do matter. Please share them. Please share them with the world. Be the voice of change! Don't hold back!
